About
We at Huntington Hackers present a workshop on the Rayhunter project.
Huntington Hackers is a local libre software meet up group open to anyone! We have a focus on privacy and surveillance.
IMSI catchers, also known as cell site simulators or stingrays, are eavesdropping device used for intercepting mobile phone traffic, of which we are seeing more and more use by law enforcement. Rayhunter is a project for detecting these devices that can run on supported small hotspot devices. We will not only be going over the installation process, but also a short talk on how IMSI catchers work and how they are used.
Our hotspot devices are limited, so we do encourage you to bring your own device if you do own one!
This event will be at Northeastern University, specific room to be announced!
