Patterns are all around us. In nature, crafts, design, music, mathematics, dance, and computers, just to name a few.
The goal of this Pattern Club workshop is simple: choose a pattern, translate it between different mediums, and iterate to your liking. In the process, we'll focus on bridging the digital (as in "hands") and the digital (as in "virtual") with an emphasis on slow, small, and handmade creative practices (note: genAI doesn't fit into this category).
Inspired by the Pattern Clubs based in the UK (patternclub.org) and hosted by Seán & Kate of softer computing club.
No technical or programming knowledge is required. Bring your laptop if you'd like, but there will also be extra computer stations available.
