In celebration of the summer solstice Sherri K will share how she creates sunflower inspired, dimensional collages of the sun! You can make your collage as small as an artist trading card or as large as you want!

Materials:

• Background base; watercolor paper, heavy mixed media paper, canvas, or any type of board background will work.
• Watercolor, ink, or acrylic paint for your background. Preparing your background ahead of time, painting it to represent the sky, will give you more time for collage.
• Papers for collage, sun colors (yellow, red, gold, orange)
• Glue or acrylic medium
• Scissors
• Optional: Acrylic mark-making tools and tweezers (for placing and pressing down small pieces of paper)

Sensory Note: For anyone experiencing audio or visual sensitivity, please note that the IPRC is situated under a skatepark, which creates occasional disruptive background noise, and the lighting in the studio and classroom space is primarily fluorescent. We do have ear plugs available for members.

Health Note: We will continue to properly wear our masks, per IPRC policy, when gathering in person to support the health of our members and their families who live with chronic health conditions. Please keep up to date on your boosters!
