About
Hi, nice to meet you! Let's do something stupid, like swimming in freezing cold water - that helps to unwind and destress. Did you know there is an actual science behind it?
But doing something stupid with people you don't know?
We came to Coimbra from different parts of the world, but an outdoor adventure was what connected us.
Kristen worked as a trekking guide in the highlands of Guatemala, and a road-trip leader across 38 states in the United States before dabbling in tech and, most recently, pursuing a PhD in History and Anthropology. It was in Coimbra when she asked herself a question: is it possible to connect anthropology, love of the outdoors and tourism experience to create memorable, ecologically- and culturally- and historically-sensitive small group adventures?
Piotr, on the other hand, has already forgotten who his last professor was, but he's learning something new every day. He used to be a rock climbing, portrait, and action sports photographer and ended up photographing fine art in London, you know, worth millions of pounds, crazy world. Now he's writing a guide to wild swimming in central Portugal, and using his photography experience and natural curiosity to find stories worth telling.
We're seeing that the world is on fire, and yet we still report the irrelevant progress to our bosses, clients and managers, daily. Here we want to connect with what it means to be a human - the AI won't replace that, ever. (here maybe a detail like "to chill out under an olive tree" )
Sometimes we like to travel solo, other times with family, but always we end up making new friends that we can discuss philosophy(something less vague) with.
Now, we listen to your ideas, too. So you if thought about a day trip or a multi-day adventure with someone friendly and experienced that can help you with, yes, we've got you. We'll even encourage you to leave bosses and clients on their own (they will be fine) until you come back. Come back from a hike through part of Portugal, untouched by the big tourism industry, where its views and the wild nature would leave you speechless; comeback from a wild swim in crystal clear water that would leave a sense of deep relaxation for many days after; come back recharged with stories to tell.
